The federal government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) held a meeting in June of 2011 entitled "A Community-Building Workshop: Measuring, Evaluating and Improving the Usability of Electronic Health Records". This workshop brought together experts from all across the nation to talk about improving the usability of electronic health record (EHR) systems. SHIP was asked to present and Dr. Berkowitz's presentation was called "Usability is the Key to Stimulating EHR Innovation and Adoption".
